Keyword Search Hints

Keyword Searching includes the following five types of searches and any combination thereof:

    1. single keyword searches
    2. one or more keyword searches
    3. exact keyword phrase searches
    4. wildcard keyword searchres
    5. AND, OR, NOT keyword searches

1. Single keyword searches. For example, entering the keyword

PELAJAU

returns the result:
ANACARDIACEAE Pentaspadon motleyi (PELAJAU)

2. One or more keyword searches. For example, enter multiple keywords:

akossika Huelatave goshiensis

returns the results:
ACHARIACEAE Scottellia coriacea A. Chev. (AKOSSIKA, ODOKO)
APOCYNACEAE Vallesia glabra (HUELATAVE, PEARL BERRY, PEARLBERRY)
AQUIFOLIACEAE Ilex goshiensis

3. Exact phrase keyword searches. For example, enter multiple keywords in double quotes:

"Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda"

returns the result:

4. Wildcard keyword searches. For example, enter a keyword containing a star as the wildcard:

rhomb*ea

returns the result:

5. And, or, not keyword searches. For example, enter two or more keywords separated by an AND:

elderberry and blue

returns the result:

elderberry not blue

returns the result:
ADOXACEAE Sambucus racemosa L. (RED ELDERBERRY
